You know it's been a while since you blogged if you can't remember your blog's password! Since I last posted we have sold our home in Illinois and moved to Kentucky to be closer to family. This time last year we were waiting on our article 5 pick up in China and were very close to travel...now Finley has been home almost 11 months and we have moved several states away. Our lives are nothing if not interesting :) I kind of felt like I was done with my blog back in May when I last posted and I am pretty sure no one is reading any more, but I felt like I needed to pop in and post a few pictures as I will keep it alive for the girls to go back through one day (if they want).
It took about 6 months for Chen Chen's jealousy to subside, but now she loves her little sister more than anything in the world.
Beautiful girls...Chen Chen has grown up so much in the past few months!
Just when Finley was starting to settle in we upset the apple cart and moved. She had a rough couple of weeks at first and we saw lots of regression in her behaviors and self soothing but I think we have turned a corner and she is settling back in. If you are considering adoption and researching special needs, I wrote a piece for No Hands But Ours about albinism and what it looks like on a daily basis in our lives. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all about albinism and I will answer them or find you the answer. We find it to be a very manageable need!
