This weekend I took Frances to the mall to have her picture taken with the Easter Bunny, because as a new parent I couldn't wait to partake in the ritual of having your child's picture taken with an oversized holiday icon :) I was worried she would be scared so we talked up the Bunny and built up some excitement...I shouldn't have worried since as soon as we got in line at the mall her eyes lit up and she excitedly said "Mama!! Kitty rabbit!!" as she pointed at Mr. Bunny. She is quite enamored with kitty cats these days so just about any animal gets called kitty. She waited her turn and then approached the Bunny, touched his knee and then gave him a high 5 before having her picture taken. I was quite proud as every other child had to be coaxed up on the bench and then had to have multiple pictures taken to get one without a panic-stricken expression...Miss Frances was done in 2 shots and both of them were winners.
In other news Baba set her up a swing set in the yard that she loves, she can swing for hours...and hours...and hours...We had been going to a local park but now that the weather is better too many teenagers are hanging out in the play area so we thought we would move the party into our own back-yard. Plus there was the mom who thought it appropriate to wear a t-shirt with objectionable language on it around 3 year olds, granted Frances can't read it but really?!
I just have to share the beautiful gift she received this weekend from a lovely friend, just look at how cute this mini-book is!
Hello Kitty cuteness!
