for 30 days! Today is our 1 month-iversary :)
30 days ago we met Frances in Xi'an...looking back at those first pictures of her we realize how strong she really was. At the time we were amazed at how well she did when we met, but knowing how much she has blossomed in the past month we realize she was overwhelmed and a little scared that day but yet did not shed a single tear...we look at her in those first pictures and she hardly looks like the same little girl.
The past 4 weeks have flown by!! Ack! I want the time to slow down...we missed the first 3.5 years of her life so we want to make the most of every day we have with her going forward. It is so much fun to see her pick up a new skill or use a new word daily...today it was noodle which should have been her first word as she is still quite the noodle girl, I think she always will be :) Here are a few of her favorite things from over the last 30 days...
- Cheerios
- Unlimited bottled water
- Yo Gabba Gabba
- Bears
- The word baby
- Long daily baths with lots of toys
- Mugsy & Pixie...yay!
- Cuties
- Her own bed in her own room with no bunkmates (except mama sometimes)
- Hello Kitty
- Shoes...she changes them several times a day
- Her twilight ladybug
- Headbands & hair bows
- Grass & a yard of her own

Martha, I love reading your blog & keeping up with Frances' adventures. She is so cute. You are doing a great job, mama.

She's just so stinking cute. I love that t-shirt! It sounds like things are going well. And I love that her middle name is the same as my daughters :)

Still so happy for you, also you're doing an AMAZING job! I am touched by the way you describe 'small' daily events and the amount of unconditional love that speaks from it.

She looks so adorable and very happy in that photo. She apparently loves the vibe that being your daughter brings. Isn't parenthood the BEST?
And I'm so so glad the puglets have inched their way onto her favorites list. It was only a matter of time............. :)

Martha, she really is strong. I thought it right away. Emma would not have been...I say that, but maybe she would have. But her she had no life in her eyes when we met.
And just when you think she's blossomed as much as she can...she will blossom more...okay...tearing up...enjoy!
