A few weeks ago I met up with a friend I made through a China adoption message board to do a little scrapping at a local Archivers...she just got home about 6 months ago with her beautiful daughter so instead of scrapping we talked, and talked and talked! It was awesome to meet up with someone who had already traveled and pick their brain on what to expect...she was so helpful and I ended up adding several things to my packing list I hadn't thought of after talking with her. I did get one LO done before getting totally distracted :) These are some of the first squares we received for Frances' quilt.
The other day after receiving our LOA Bob and I went out for breakfast & window shopping. We both work retail and have for many years so it's kind of hard to get excited about the holidays anymore, but knowing that Frances may very well be here this Christmas(!) we have a renewed sense of Christmas spirit...so much so that we bought our first ornament for Frances, we saw that Macy's had their ornaments out already and that they had a whole tree of China themed ones so we picked up one for the tree this year. Next year we will let her pick one out.
