Updated the shop today and after I did noticed there was a lot of red in the mix...I think my favorite item is the 1930's Montgomery Wards Catalog, it has over 700 pages with pictures on every page & look at those prices!
If you are in the Chicagoland area you should come check out our yard sale this Friday & Saturday (please rain stay away!!!)
Not only do we have 20 years of Pier 1 goodies i.e. candles galore, decorative accessories and even furniture but I have decided to purge my scraproom so there is a ton of stuff up for grabs. What sort of stuff you may ask, how about patterned paper, cardstock (even the glittery kind!), Slice cartridges, Quickutz tools and dies, stamps, embellishments (Thickers anyone?), fabric and lots, lots more. My friend Sarah is joining in and she has crafting things up for grabs too. Seriously there will be enough scrapping stuff to stock your scraproom for quite a while. All of the money we make goes into our adoption fund so you can shop guilt free :) The sale will be this Friday and Saturday (10th & 11th) from 9-3 @ 151 South Walkup Ave. and all of the details can be found here:
Other than getting things ready for the sale I have been sucked into the world of Pinterest...I had resisted for so long, I didn't see the merit of it but as soon as I was sent an invite it was over. Gone are the days of bookmarking multiple sites when I find things I like, now everything is in one pretty, pretty place...swoon!
I even squeezed in a little more scrapping time. I have been collecting vintage sheets and pillowcases forever with every intention of one day making cute little dresses and skirts for our little one so this collection became the next layout in my "waiting" album
I kept thinking I didn't really have anything to document and start to scrap about our adoption....then I started to realize that there was plenty I could scrap about while we are waiting. How about all of the paperwork it took months for us to compile that eventually made up our dossier. Now 9 lbs. might seem a little heavy, but I have copies of just about everything "just in case"...once you go through all of the hassle of tracking things down you aren't content with just one copy. What if it disappears, spontaneously combusts or a pug eats it, you have to have a back up copy!
I posted the LO I did about all of the books we have been gathering over at 2Peas and was shocked to see it listed as a featured project in their gallery...I haven't posted anything in an on-line gallery in over a year so it came as quite a surprise.
Since these will all end up in album together I have been using a lot of October Afternoon's Five & Dime and the Collage Press border stickers, plus they are the only new thing I have bought in forever so they are mixed in with lots of stuff from my stash.
