Maybe it's because I only have a 6" x 6" space on my scrap table to work with right now, but I am really liking making these minis.....I made this one for the different kinds of dolls that have somehow found there way into my house in the past year and a half :)
I used bits & pieces of Sassafras, American Crafts, October Afternoon, Elle's Studio, Making Memories, Maya Road, Cosmo Cricket and some more vintage postcards
Earlier in the week I ordered these these and had a chance yesterday and today to play around with them. I have a Diana camera that has been sitting here in the box because I am too lazy to deal with film, getting it developed etc. so I thought this would be a close second and a lot easier. These pics are right out of the camera and are in no way spectacular, just me playing around with a new toy :)
I'm digging the dreaminess and the muted colors...I popped this one a bit in Photoshop
Next I thought I would try some TTV shots, I have been wanting to try this for a while & have a Duaflex that I bought a few years ago at the flea market that has just been sitting on a shelf so I decided to give it a go. I recommend this tutorial if you want to give this a try
My first attempts
There are all kinds of ways you can build a contraption around the Duaflex to keep out excess light when shooting your pics so you don't get a lot of glare, I took my pics inside as contraption building was just not going to happen today :) I will try some more later outside when the sun isn't so bright. That darn Hipstamatic app makes taking pics that give you these same effects so much easier but it's fun to play around with some new stuff too!
Finally back in the scrapping groove after thinking my mojo had permanently left the building! I printed out some 2" x 2" pics taken with my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app and made this postcard mini this afternoon...
No fun day is complete without a silly pug ♥
or a Blythe photo-op when a new outfit courtesy of an Etsy shopping spree comes in the mail :)
Yesterday was spent cleaning carpets, bathrooms and other non-fun stuff so I treated myself with a little scrapping time last night...no fireworks since our town does them on the 5th, how does that even make sense?
